Lueann Duda was officially installed as Clarissa Postmaster on June 8. She took her oath from Victor Zellgert, Acting Manager of Post Office Operations and regular postmaster at Little Falls. Pictured with Lueann are sister Marlyn Duus, brother William Duda and sister Caroline Erickson who were able to join her for her new installment.

Clarissa upped its record to 3-0 in the Hi-10 with a win in Wadena on Sunday, June 3. The Flyers scored in all but three innings and held the Chiefs scoreless until the sixth when they tallied their lone run. Brian Hinzmann and Joe Cuchna each stroked three hits and drove in two and three runs respectively. Cuchna allowed four hits, striking out eight and walking one in seven innings of mound-work. Brent Lieser finished off the Chiefs along one hit, striking out three and walking one in two innings of relief.

June 17, 1976
Daniel Dixon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Dixon and a 1976 graduate of Clarissa High School, has been selected to represent Clarissa at the 1976 Minnesota Teen Program to be held in Morris, August 12-14.

On Sunday evening, Mike Denny reported stolen from his vehicle a Coleman cooler and a case of beer. Dennis Reed of Staples reported 10 gallons of gas was siphoned from his car and three-fourths of a tank of gas was taken from a car owned by Eugene Jasmer. All three vehicles were parked in the Horseshoe Lake Ballroom parking lot.
