News from Clarissa's Past

November 27, 1996

Let’s go back to 1958 and look at the Clarissa Independent for roots and facts of the “Sisters of the Swish and Brothers of the Brush.” These were highlights for the centennial year of the county and the Dairy Days for Clarissa. If you want to see the lapel pin that the ladies had to have to be chosen the winners, come to our new museum. It will be on display. Some of the highlights were a “Sister of the Swish” and tea at the school gym. All ladies of the community are welcome.
