Let’s go back to 1958 and look at the Clarissa Independent for roots and facts of the “Sisters of the Swish and Brothers of the Brush.” These were highlights for the centennial year of the county and the Dairy Days for Clarissa. If you want to see the lapel pin that the ladies had to have to be chosen the winners, come to our new museum. It will be on display. Some of the highlights were a “Sister of the Swish” and tea at the school gym. All ladies of the community are welcome.
Planning began on October 20 for a joint church-youth project. Terri Bailey (youth leader) and teens from Shepherd of the Valley and Faith Lutheran Church met with respected Chairperson Beryl Irish, President Marion Bergs and the Lutheran Brotherhood Branch 8617. It was decided a bingo event would be held at the Todd County Care Center in November.
