Newly elected Todd County Attorney John Lindemann hopes to be a part of the cultural change in Todd County.

It was while working at a post office that Lindemann first developed his desire to pursue a law degree.

“Working at the post office, I encountered people from, literally, around the world: the first wave of immigrants from East Africa, people from all parts of Asia and the former Soviet Union, folks from any place you can imagine. Working side-by-side with these people, it occurred to me that we are more alike than we are different. It also became clear to me that some people face more challenges in life than others. I felt called to go to law school to become someone to help those people,” he said.

Lindemann has a diverse background, too, having lived in several places and working many different jobs.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan, and moved with his family to suburban Chicago at the age of two. . .
