The Hewitt junior-senior banquet was held at the Lutheran Church basement Saturday evening and was an enjoyable affair. The place was decorated in red and white streamers and bowls of tulips graced the tables. In order to carry out the Dutch theme the programs were partly in the German language. The Ladies Aid of Trinity Church served the banquet.

The Modern Pioneer Club met at the home of Mrs. Melvin Lorenz with eleven members present. Visitors were Mrs. Bergquist, Mrs. Robert Gaines and Miss Betty Bielke. Plans were made for revealing the “secret sisters” at the June meeting with each member bringing a gift for her sister.
