Cheese is an important basic food for people of all ages, and Superintendent Larry Werder, speaking to the members of the school board on Monday, February 12, wants all the Browerville students to get enough. Up to now, the federal government has provided literally a ton of cheese for the school year. Starting in the fall, the government is encouraging schools to purchase cheese pizzas that come with a rebate offer that would amount to $600. Werder said the school can do this as well as purchase bulk processed cheese as they have in the past. However, it would cost upwards of four to five thousand dollars, less the rebate money.
