Pirates Battle Through Ups and Downs

Verndale 70, New York Mills 85
On Monday, January 26th, the Boys Basketball team hosted the New York Mills Eagles and lost by a score of 85-70. Braylin Deleon led the Pirates in scoring with 24 points as well as 5 assists. Kyler Vertina added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Chase Jensen also scored in double figures with 10 points.

On Tuesday, January 27th the Pirates Boys Basketball team travelled to Sebeka to play the Trojans and lost by a score of 73-41. Joe Elfstrum led the Pirates in scoring with 11 points to go with his team high 6 rebounds. Chase Jensen also grabbed 6 rebounds. Kyler Vertina scored 10 points as well.
