The Verndale Girls Basketball Team opened up their 2023-2024 season with a non conference 62-8 victory against the Ashby Arrows.

From the field, the Pirates shot 43% (23/54), while the Arrows were just 2/34 (6%).

Junior Avery Amerud finished with 16 points, while three other players, Taylor Johnson, Katie Blaha, and Reagen Ludovissie joined her in double figures....
