Pitching Careers: An interactive day of discovery

The Verndale School hosted an extensive career fair for the high school students on Thursday, April 24. School counselors and staff organized a full day of engaging educational activities featuring various career options.

In the morning, speakers which included alumni from Verndale spoke in high school classrooms, discussing careers in transportation, law enforcement, cosmetology, several medical fields, advertising, agriculture, and helicopter piloting, among other options. Students had the opportunity to choose three speakers based on their career interests.

After a break for lunch, where students enjoyed food trucks set up in the parking lot, the afternoon featured a large career fair....
