Salon goes up in flames

On February 26, at approximately 7:10 p.m., the Wadena Police Department along with the Wadena Fire Department were dispatched to the address of 228 Ash Avenue Northeast (Moore Sensational Looks Salon, located on Hwy. 10 East) in the city of Wadena for a structure fire. Upon arrival, the building was fully engulfed in flames.

There was no one inside the building and no one was injured. At this time, the cause is believed to be an electrical issue. The Wadena Police Department and Wadena Fire Department were assisted on the scene by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Verndale Fire Department, Staples Fire Department and Tri-County Ambulance.
