In a doubleheader with the boys basketball team at Sebeka on January 27, the girls lost 39-60. In the first half, the Pirates had too many missteps on the defensive end. Sebeka out-rebounded Verndale 54-38. Aspen Orlando led the Pirates in scoring with 15 points. 9 of her points came from behind the three-point line. Emily Elfstrum and Millie Schmitz each scored 7 points. Adeley Hinkle dished out four assists.
