Three fire departments battle house fire

At approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26, the Eagle Bend Fire Department was called to the Daniel Reining residence on 404th Street in rural Bertha for a house fire. The Bertha and Clarissa fire departments responded for mutual aid to fight the blaze. They fought the blaze for approximately four hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
