Trump wins presidency of the United States
The election was held on Tuesday, November 5, with the presidential candidates needing to get 270 electoral college votes to win. Republican Donald J. Trump and JD Vance clinched the victory with 72,745,340 votes (50.9%). Democratic-Farmer-Labor Kamala D. Harris and Tim Walz received 68,088,598 votes (47.6%) nationwide, as of Thursday.
Statewide, Democratic-Farmer-Labor Kamala D. Harris and Tim Walz received 1,653,744 (50.88%) votes. Republican Donald J. Trump and JD Vance received 1,516,347 (46.66%).

Extends the use of lottery
revenues for environmental and natural resources
This proposed amendment to Minnesota’s constitution would extend the transfer of lottery revenue to a state environmental and natural resources trust fund from 2025 to 2050 and increase the amount that could be spent annually from the fund. The measure passed with 2,520,815 (77.2%) voting yes.
