Two Injured in Highway 71 Crash in Eagle Bend

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a crash occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. on July 5 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and Abbott Street West.

Authorities reported that a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer was traveling north on Highway 71 and attempting to turn west onto Abbott Street when it collided with a northbound 2008 Chrysler Town & Country.

The driver of the Chrysler, Giselle Vanise Longtine, 56, of Detroit Lakes, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Astera Health for treatment.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Madison Lynn Olson, 22, of Beardsley, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Astera Health. A passenger in the Chevrolet, Tristen James Kamphake, 28, of Eagle Bend, was not injured...
