With spring golf comes a wide range of weather and course conditions, along with very limited opportunities for on-course practice. by Matt Uselman The Staples-Motley-Verndale girls golf team traveled to Sartell on Monday the 4th to participate in a 6AA Presections meet. There were 8 teams with 53 girls competing. The team finished in 6th place, led by Katelyn Schotzko’s 89. Mara Uselman shot a 112 to finish in 38th place. On Tuesday May 5th the girls held a home meet at The Vintage at Staples. Individual scoring performances were led by Kendra Miller, who placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.17.
