The top six individuals and top three relay teams in each event automatically advanced to the Section Meet, along with the next four best individual performances and the next two fastest relay times overall between the two sub-sections. The Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale boys track and field team turned in several strong performances at the MSHSL Section 6A East Sub-Section meet held Thursday, May 21, at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Secondary School. Senior Brady Rach led the Raiders with a first-place finish in the 800-meter run, clocking a season-best 1:56.39 to qualify for the next round. Gunnar Barthel also qualified in the event with a personal-best time of 2:06.79, while Jakub Stovicek added a personal-best 2:11.8

by Coach Rollie Lais The Browerville Tigers track and field team turned in another strong performance Tuesday at the St. John’s meet, with athletes recording numerous personal bests, season bests, and top finishes against tough competition. The Tigers’ sprint crews led the way early in the meet. In the boys’ 100-meter dash, sophomores Tyler Rowe and Jonah Berg both broke the 12-second mark for the first time this season. The Trojans showed why they are a top 5 team in the state and hit the ball all around the yard, beating the Raiders 18-6.
