Girls’ Basketball lost a pair of games last week to tough opponents in Menahga and Wadena. On Tuesday, they hosted Menahga and found themselves down early by 20 to start the game. Still, the Bears played strong late in the first half and early in the 2nd half, keeping it a 20-point game for most of the way before Menahga pulled away even more at the end to make it a 40-77 loss for the Bears... The boys’ Basketball team played one game last week, thanks to yet another lovely winter storm this past Tuesday. So on Friday night, they headed to Menahga for a conference match with the Braves. Girls Wrestling Results vs. UNC and Wadena The Browerville-Eagle Valley girls wrestlers competed against United North Central (UNC) and Wadena, turning in a mix of wins and losses across the lineup. Wolves Fall Narrowly to UNC, 32-29 The Wolves came up just short in a tightly contested match against the UNC Warriors, losing 32-29 in a battle that went down to the wire. The Wolves started strong, winning the first seven matches. Matthew Bosl (107 lbs, win by pin), Hayden Hiebert (114 lbs, 12-0), Benelli Johnson (121 lbs, 6-4), Hunter Katterhagen (127 lbs, win by pin), Evan Flan (133 lbs, 7-5), and Brodie Pachan (145 lbs, 17-4) all contributed key points for the team.
