Bears Celebrate Historic 2025 Football Season at Banquet

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears football team celebrated an unforgettable 2025 season on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Clarissa Ballroom. The team finished with a 9–2 record and captured the program’s first sub-district championship in 15 years, highlighting the players’ skill, determination, and leadership.
The banquet opened with thanks to the many people who supported the program, including parents for meals and Homecoming support, volunteers, bus drivers, chain crew, officials, clock operators, custodians, and trainer Nathan Fry. Congratulations were also shared with the Bertha-Hewitt volleyball and cross-country teams for their successful seasons.
Community supporters Carol Wendorf, Cindy Goepferd, and Leona Truax were recognized as the team’s #1 Fans, honoring their consistent dedication and spirit throughout the season.

Because of the Bears’ sub-district championship, all varsity players earned letters: Colton Sawyer, Corbin Sawyer, Mylo Kliniske, Drew Beyatt, Rekker Oyster, Isaiah Bailey, RJ Beavers, Connor Bruder, Chase Peltier, Tristan Adams,
Gage Barthel, Ruger Oyster, John Howieson, Eagan Greiner, Jordan Hoemberg, Garrett Becker, Jalen Hinzmann, Taylor Stange, Chase Johnson, Trenton Becker, Rylan Bostic, Dylan Day, Quintin Flynn, Rowan Hauer, Malaki Sales, Kenan Boughton, Preston Captain, and Eli Powers.
Team captains were Trenton Becker, Quintin Flynn, Preston Captain, Rowan Hauer, Malaki Sales, Dylan Day, RJ Bostic, and Kenan Bouton.
