Bears Sweep New York Mills, Improve to 6-3

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears volleyball team hosted conference rivals New York Mills on Thursday night, September 11, picking up right where they left off after the Browerville Tournament on September 6th. The Bears had previously defeated the Eagles 2-0 in that tournament and made quick work of NYM in Thursday’s matchup, winning 3-0. With the victory, Browerville improves to 6-3 on the season.
The Bears saw strong performances across the board. Kendall Beyatt led the team with 11 kills and added 3 digs and 4 blocks. Piper Dean contributed 8 kills and 11 digs, while Jasmine Williams had 6 kills, 6 digs, and 1 set assist. Josalyn Hauer recorded 3 kills, 27 set assists, and 4 digs. Ellyana Braaten had 5 kills, 1 block, 1 set assist, and 1 dig. Kyrstin Beyatt added 1 kill, 2 set assists, 1 block, and 5 digs. Mikayla Allen chipped in 1 set assist and 5 digs...
