The Verndale Historical Society (VHS) is dedicated to preserving the rich history of Verndale while also fostering community engagement and interest in the town’s past. With the vision of revitalizing its membership and programs, the society aims to inspire both longtime residents and newcomers to appreciate Verndale’s historical significance. VHS President Jim Davis is actively working to not only celebrate what Verndale has been but also to shape what it can become in the future.

Now, the Verndale Historical Society is on a mission—not just to preserve the town’s rich past, but to spark new interest and energy to help shape its future. After losing membership during the COVID-19 pandemic, VHS is looking to rebuild its group, raise funds, and welcome a new generation of volunteers and history lovers....
