Del Valle Martinez charged with second-degree murder
Ricardo Nathaniel Del Valle Martinez, 24, of Long Prairie has been charged in the shooting of two brothers that occurred in the Browerville area, injuring one and killing the other.
According to court documents, on August 29 at approximately 9:18 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the girlfriend of Edward Abreu Grullon stating that he had been in a shooting incident in the Browerville area and that he was actively fleeing in a motor vehicle from the individuals that had shot at him.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. John DeCock responded to Browerville on Highway 71 where he intercepted a speeding vehicle he suspected Grullon was driving.
The vehicle pulled over to the side of the road. The driver was Edward Abreu Grullon. Sgt. DeCock observed that Edward had been shot in the left arm and observed numerous bullet holes to the driver’s side of the vehicle and the driver’s side window was broken out.
There was also a person in the passenger seat, later identified as Edwin Abreu Grullon, 19, of Sauk Centre who was deceased, and it was later determined by the medical examiner that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest. . . .
