Verndale school: Learning model changes

The following was received from Verndale School Superintendent Paul Brownlow:

Beginning January 4, 2021, pre-K-6th grade students will resume with the in-person learning model and 7th-12th grade students will start in a hybrid learning model.

Students in 7th-9th grade will attend school on Mondays and Thursdays and 10th-12th grade will attend school on Tuesdays and Fridays.

These learning plans may change due to changes in infection rates in our county and school district.

During the time of distance learning for our high school students, meals will be provided for them on a pickup basis only. Families will need to notify the food service department at 218-445-5184 ext. 315 if they plan to use this service. We do encourage families to take advantage of this option, as the meals are free to all students this school year.

Support services will be available for all students during this challenging time. If your child needs additional academic support or you have concerns about your child’s mental health, please contact the school office to inquire about these services. Times can be arranged with Mrs. Bolland for students to meet with their teachers or the counseling staff to receive academic or emotional support. . .
