Verndale was never able to get into a fluid rhythm, and they shot 18%, while the Tigers shot 36%. The Pirates were able to convert at the free throw line, hitting 17 of their 20 attempts. Leading the way was Hudson Truax with his third appearance and Adam Grabow in his second. The Section 6A Individual Wrestling Tournament was held Friday, February 20, at Wadena-Deer Creek Public Schools, with the top two finishers in each weight class advancing to the state tournament.
