by Coach Heidi Brandsma On Tuesday, October 14, the Verndale Pirates cross-country team competed at the Park Region Conference meet, hosted by Otter Tail Central and held at Balmoral Golf Course. Pirates Sunk by Ogilvie's Ground Game
The Verndale Pirates battled hard on the road Tuesday night but came up short against Ogilvie, falling 24–12. The Verndale Pirates put up a strong fight but ultimately fell to Cromwell-Wright, 56-28, in a high-scoring matchup on Friday night, October 17.
