Staples-Motley-Verndale Golfers Showcase Talent at Home Meet
by Matt Uselman The Staples-Motley-Verndale girls golf team traveled to Sartell on Monday the 4th to participate in a 6AA Presections meet. There were 8 teams with 53 girls competing. The team finished in 6th place, led by Katelyn Schotzko’s 89. Mara Uselman shot a 112 to finish in 38th place. On Tuesday May 5th the girls held a home meet at The Vintage at Staples. by Coach Kenny Miller The Raiders Track and Field team traveled to Wadena on Thursday, April 30, to compete in the annual Sam Kelderman Memorial Meet, finishing sixth overall. Individual scoring performances were led by Kendra Miller, who placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:30.17.
