37 years and going stronger than ever: Dan’s Prize is about community-building

Many of us who live in Todd County can hardly remember a time when there was no Dan’s Prize in the area.
It is hard to fathom that the business has only been in Todd County for 37 years and only 25 years at their Browerville location.
It’s a fact, though, that Dan’s Prize began with their Long Prairie plant in 1986.
Thirty-seven years ago, Dan Hitchcock, Ed Johnson, Jim Smith, Bob Uhlenkamp and Vern Noland founded Dan’s Prize. That was in 1986....
