ATV and trailer go through ice
On December 26, at 8:12 p.m., Todd County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an ATV and trailer that went through the ice on Lake Osakis near Battle Point. Jerrick Walker, 23, of Zimmerman, and his passenger Adrianna Cobb, 23, of Delano, were traveling on the west side of Battle Point Park when they encountered an area where a large heave/crack occurred. Both were able to get off the ATV safely and without injury. The ATV and trailer were removed from the lake. A large heave/crack has developed west of Battle Point causing some areas to be unsafe. They have temporarily marked the area with signs. As always, use caution when traveling on area lakes.
