Bears making progress

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears Football Team has been making progress in the classroom and on the field.

“Our first grade check was the best I’ve ever seen for the football program,” said Coach Jared Hoemberg.

“We are not seeing wins right now, but we are starting to do the little things. Once you do the little things consistently, like treating everyone with respect, leaving the locker room spotless, turning in your homework, you start doing the big things, like winning,” said Hoemberg.

The Bears took on the Ortonville Trojans on September 16 in Bertha. . .
