Fire destroys cabin

The Bertha Fire Department responded to a structure fire on October 5, at 11:22 a.m. The cabin property, owned by Jeff Tigges, located on Otter Tail County Road 73 in Hewitt, was unoccupied. The Hewitt and Parkers Prairie fire departments were called for mutual aid. The fire was quickly contained and Parkers Prairie was canceled en route. Fire crews were on the scene until 2:48 p.m. The cause of the fire is unknown.
