First major snowstorm has come and gone

Winter has made its presence known as the snow fell from November 29 through Sunday morning, December 1. The blowing snow made travel difficult in some areas with Duluth receiving the highest snow totals.

Lester Park received the most with 23.5 inches.

Sebeka observed 13.8 inches and Motley, 13.5 inches.

Alexandria had 13.2 inches; Brainerd 13.1 inches; Verndale, Park Rapids, Hendrum, all had 12 inches; 11 inches in Menahga; 10.5 inches in Browerville and Detroit Lakes; 10 inches in Little Falls, Moorhead and Lake Park; 9.3 inches was reported in Fergus Falls and Keewatin.
