Grant for rock wall is approved for $395,000

If you have ever been to the Todd County government facilities in Long Prairie or even driven around them, you may have been amazed at the rock wall that surrounds the lower portion of the hill.
The rock wall has been a part of the Todd County landscape since the early 1900s.
According to County Coordinator Chris Pelzer, “The wall did change quite a bit with the Works Progress Administration (WPA) project that was completed in 1938. That is when the entire front entrance was done and the stairway was completed, as well. I believe that is when we also went to a one tier wall versus the original two tier.”...
