Mrs. Eugene (Ella) Lindquist has been re-elected to a three year term on the board of trustees of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary Hospital Association, an organization that provides financial assistance to veterans and their dependents for the payment of medical expenses. Mrs. Lindquist, a past president of the Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary, has served on the association’s board since 1983. She is the present vice president.

Mr. and Mrs. Brad Becker and girls of Sauk Rapids and Mrs. Chris Johnson and Nola of Prior Lake were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Dickinson. They all attended a birthday party for Glenn Anderson in Alexandria on Sunday afternoon.

The Clarissa community has received $2752 out of a total distribution of $746,199 in grants to local units of government for the acquisition and development of outdoor recreation facilities.

School district 789 ended its final year of 1969-70 with a balance of $20,652, higher than last year’s annual report of the district.
