August 30, 1995
Of the possible 1635 registered voters in Eagle Valley School District, a total of 272 cast their ballots to elect a new school board at the August 22 special election. Twelve candidates had sought election on the new seven-member board. Those elected were Don Hanson, Conrad Stoterau, Charles Godding, Bob Winkler, Jerry Korfe, Liz Westergren, and Dale Greenwaldt.

Eagle Valley football captains Jarrod Turner and Jason Bain demonstrated the new blocking sled to Clarissa Lion Rick Voge. The Clarissa Lions bought the school the sled and a tackling dummy this summer.
50 Years Ago
August 27, 1970
Several 4-H dairy teams from Todd County will compete for awards during the Minnesota State Fair. Members of the Todd County judging team are Allen Holmquist, 17, Clarissa; Norman Krause, 17, Eagle Bend; Lorraine Classen, Long Prairie; Cindy Larson, 14, Osakis.

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Volkman, proprietors of the G & R Speed Wash for the past one and one-half years, sold their business this week to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kunerth.
