High speed pursuit in Wadena County


On Sunday, April 26, at 5:08 p.m., deputies from the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a 2004 Pontiac GTO on Wadena County Road 12 near Nimrod. The driver of the vehicle fled from deputies traveling northbound on Huntersville Road. The pursuit lasted approximately eight miles and reached speeds in excess of 130 miles per hour. The pursuit ended on Huntersville Road, near 350th Street. The driver, Randy Tellock, 55, of Loretto, was taken into custody by deputies. Tellock is being held in the Wadena County Jail. A formal complaint is pending with the Wadena County Attorney’s Office. Tellock was also wanted in Wright County. The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Menahga Police Department.
