In Focus

It took four long days, but the Halloween light show is finally ready to go.

This took much longer to set up and decorate and even longer to plug everything in. It seemed like Mother Nature was working against us as it rained off and on all weekend.

Even with the delays and constant adjustments, I was finally able to turn the show on last night. There were a few minor issues to address, but it looked great and ran smoothly. I was just so happy everything worked!

I have to replace a couple of lights because they didn’t want to cooperate, and a few more things need to be slightly adjusted. But I can finally call it done.

Mom built an iron fence for the cemetery and a gate to the underworld out of PVC pipe. The Jack-O-Lanterns have platforms now and it looks great!

This year we have a donation box next to our driveway. We are raising funds which will go to the local food shelf.

The light show will begin on October 1 at 7 p.m. I’m excited to see how it goes this year. I hope the passersby enjoy it as much as I do.
