To the Editor:
I’m going to speak about our growing population. Is it just me or is our world’s population growing?
I’ll tell you, it isn’t just me, our population is growing by leaps and bounds, in places and in ways our ancestors probably would have never believed. And it’s a real problem; it is already affecting our world in many negative ways.
If you have any mental capacity then by now you have probably guessed that I am speaking about individuals growing larger and heavier than ever before, not about too many people being on earth. And, yes, it is affecting our world, particularly our country in many negative ways.
Did you know that 74% of Americans are over weight? Did you also know that the average American male is 5’9” tall and weighs 199 lbs. and can’t even dead lift his own weight or run farther than 1.5 miles non-stop?
Furthermore, did you know that any health association worth its weight in round-up ready corn will tell you that the average male who is 5’9” tall should only weigh between 130 and 160 lbs. and should be able to dead lift 210 lbs. without extreme difficulty?
My point to all of this is if you are worried about our world population growing too much then open up a health book and compare your height and weight to the health limits in it.
And if you find that you are too large to fit in to the “healthy” category, do something about it rather than blaming someone else for the world’s problems. Remember, the only way to change the world is one person at a time.
Sincerely,
Pascal Blase Bulcher
