News from Bertha and Hewitt's Pasts
April 11, 2001
The community of Bertha has been experiencing growing pains lately. But these pains are really not painful, but a good sign that people and businesses in the community are looking for growth and good things to come. Several new buildings or additions have seen their way into the Bertha community. The new community center has appeared after many months of planning, work and dedication. The Domian Anderson Funeral Home has added onto their building with a new chapel. Schultz Drug has a new store front, Pete’s Lumber was recently remodeled, and the Bertha-Hewitt School opened their new gym.

A total of 6200 General Mills box tops were collected during the 2000-2001 school year. Thank you to all students and staff for helping with this collection. Congratulations to Ms. Hurtig’s sixth grade class for submitting the most box tops (1414). Remember box tops can continue to be saved for the coming school year. Box tops saved today means more equipment for students tomorrow.
