The Bertha Lions and Lioness Clubs finalized a merger at a meeting held on Monday, November 27. The two organizations will combine their many activities in meeting programs benefiting society, locally and worldwide.

On the strength of a good second half, the Bears boys picked up their first cage win of the season. Scoring 52 points in the half, the Bears defeated Browerville 74-55. The win evens the team record 1-1.

Notice: A $25 reward will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the party who damaged the water tank and jeopardized the village water supply by firing a rifle shot into the tank. By request of the village council of the village of Bertha.

Dr. W.W. Will was elected a Fellow in the International College of Surgeons at the annual convocation of that body held in Washington D.C. on December 7. The International College of Surgeons is composed of members of the medical profession for almost every country in the world and devotes itself to surgical research and postgraduate study in the field of surgery. Its membership has rigid limits.
