On Saturday, more than 100 people, friends and family, held a surprise appreciation dinner and dance the for former Todd County Sheriff, Dave Asmus at Ted and Gen’s in Aldrich. A special award from the Todd County Commissioners was presented by Commissioner Stan Sumey.

Ryan Heibert, Poppens Tiger Athlete of the Week, a senior wrestling at 135 pounds is having an excellent season this year. Ryan came up with his big pins against Menahga and Alexandria.

Julie Kellen was one of the leading players for the Tigers, scoring 14 points against St. John’s prep Friday at Browerville.

To date, four people have filed for office of manager and secretary of the Browerville Shipping Association. The time of filing will close February 26. Those who filed are Louis Perish, Joe Hanych, Lester Craft and Ben Nelson.
