Raiders compete in two events this week

On Tuesday, April 23, the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Girls track team traveled to Park Rapids to compete in the Heartland Invitational.

The girls placed 10th out of 13 teams.

Placing in the top 8 and scoring for the Raiders were: Miette Hansel - 400 meters (5th, 1:07.69), Makenzee Sales - 100 meter hurdles (2nd, 18.11), Michaela Barthel - 100 meter hurdles (7th, 19.34) and triple jump (8th, 29’9”), Aulani Johnson - 100 meter hurdles (8th, 19.43) and 300 meter hurdles (8th, 57.11), Kendra Captain - long jump (7th, 14’3”), 4x100 meter relay team of Julia Allen, Kendra Captain, Michaela Barthel, and Grace Radniecki (8th, 57.19), 4x200 meter relay team of Maddie Bartle, Mikayla Allen, Olivia Stanley, and Miette Hansel, and 4x400 meter relay of Olivia Stanley, Grace Radniecki, Mikayla Allen, and Miette Hansel....
