All 14 school board members presently serving the Eagle Valley School District will no longer serve in that official capacity. At the September board meeting, the seven people elected at the August 22 special election will assume their places on the board for the newly consolidated district.
The Double Eagle Lady Champs, Bisel’s Team, walked away with honors for the 1995 season with a total of 686 points. Team members are: Sonja Pearson, Wanda Tepley, Marlyn Stein-Schultz, Sandy Johnson, Barb Thompson and Sandy Baso. Individual winners for the season were: Barb Thompson, first flight and club champion; Verneil Thompson, second flight; Darlene Weibye, third flight; Pam Hess, fourth flight; Sonja Pearson, fifth flight; and Marlys Stein-Schultz, sixth flight.

August 20, 1970
Mr. and Mrs. Dell Johnson, owners of Dell’s Home Bakery in Eagle Bend, announced their grand opening on Friday and Saturday of this week. Free coffee and cake doughnuts will be served all day, both days. Free prizes and dinner and gift certificates will be given away. The public is cordially invited to have coffee with the Johnsons and register for the prizes.
Richard Wehking and Marvin Houseman of Eagle Bend have been selected to the Director’s List at the University of Minnesota Technical College, Crookston, for scholastic achievement during the spring quarter of 1979.
