The Eagle Bend Fire and Rescue squad tended to one of their own members Sunday afternoon. Mike Dorman, 24, of Eagle Bend went off the snowmobile trail and rolled his sled over. He apparently hit the handlebars which caused fractures of the jaw, nose, collar bone and a severe cut on his forehead. He was wearing a helmet.

Diane Booker, Sandy Sipczinski, Priscilla Serbus and Mary Woida did well in the MnDOT bridge contest, placing third in aesthetics, eighth in load limit and fifth in load to weight ratio.

February 26, 1970
The Eagle Bend High School basketball team engineered a startling upset victory over the Prairie Conference Champions in the opening round of sub-district play at Sauk Centre Tuesday evening by a score of 55-48.

Thieves again struck at the Eagle Bend Auto Sales where the wheels and tires and a battery were taken from one automobile on the used car lot. This is at least the third time that the used car lot has been victimized in a similar manner since Mr. Harold Pankonin opened his auto sales business here.
