Shop lost to fire

On Monday, February 22, at approximately 3 p.m., the Clarissa Fire Department responded to the Allen Blommel residence on County Road 14 for a shop fire. The Browerville Fire Department responded for mutual aid. Fire crews were on the scene for approximately two hours. A skid steer and miscellaneous tools were lost along with the shop. Blommel heard an explosion come from the shop, but the cause of the blaze remains unknown.
