Stimulus checks are coming...


The more than $2 trillion stimulus bill was approved on March 27. It is the largest economic relief package in U.S. history. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) fights the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some highlights include: A $150 billion Coronavirus Relief Fund for state, local and tribal governments. Minnesota is looking to receive $2,187 million. An Education Stabilization Fund of $30 billion for costs related to the virus that includes school districts and higher education. The Disaster Relief Fund will see $45 billion for the immediate needs of state and local governments to help protect citizens and help respond and recover from the effects of COVID-19. The National Guard will see $1.4 billion for deployments to sustain up to 20,000 members of the National Guard for the next six months to support state and local response efforts. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will receive $4.3 billion to support federal, state and local public health agencies to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the Coronavirus. . . .
