Todd County confirms two positive tests

On the evening of April 11, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) reported to Todd County Health and Human Services there was one lab confirmed COVID‐19 case. This individual is in their 80s, had community exposure, and is self‐isolating. On April 12, the Minnesota Department of Health reported two lab confirmed cases of COVID‐19 in Todd County on their website. As of April 12, Todd County Health & Human Services became aware of a second lab confirmed case of COVID‐19. This individual is in their 50s and their condition and likely exposure is unknown at this time. To protect the confidentiality of each lab confirmed COVID‐19 case, the Minnesota Department of Health provides Todd County Health & Human Services with limited information on each case. Todd County HHS is only able to disclose the following information on each lab confirmed COVID‐19 case, if available: a. County of residence b. Age range c. Reported medical condition (i.e., self‐isolating, hospitalized) d. Likely exposure method (i.e., community spread, travel) The Minnesota Department of Health is conducting the investigation for each confirmed COVID‐19 case. At this time, Todd County Health and Human Services is not involved in investigating confirmed COVID‐19 cases or their immediate contacts. Todd County Health and Human Services is continuing to actively monitor the spread of COVID‐19 in Todd County with local community partners, and state and federal agencies, and will alert the public if more information can be shared.
