Wadena County Commissioners: Discussion on Bull Bash, COVID and public meeting access
by Trinity Gruenberg
The Wadena County Commissioners held their regular meeting on September 1.
Nimrod Bull Bash
The Nimrod Booster Club applied for a liquor license for the Nimrod Bull Bash.
The application came in with the license fee, but Ryan Odden, the county coordinator/engineer, has not received the certificate of insurance, leaving the application incomplete.
When they receive the certificate of insurance, the application is reviewed by the sheriff’s department and county attorney before coming before the board for approval. Then it is sent to the state to issue the license.
Commissioner Jon Kangas shared concerns about how the Nimrod Bull Bash licensing and permitting have been handled in the county. He made a motion for an independent investigation, there was no second and the motion died. . . .
