Comprehensive re-entry social worker: One year in—Froderman sees progress

Repeat offenders have been a problem in our society for centuries.

Todd County is working on changing that.

Jennifer Froderman was hired and began working at the Todd County Detention Center in the newly established position of comprehensive re-entry social worker (CRE).

Most of the time her clients just call her the “jail social worker,” but her role goes far beyond the jail.


Froderman began her work in October of 2019 but said that she really didn’t get going until the end of October/beginning of November.

She graduated from Bemidji State University in 2013 with a degree in social work and a minor in criminal justice.

Since her graduation, she has worked in Nobles County as a licensor, a children’s mental health caseworker, and an adoption worker.
