Cooper still missing: Sheriff’s update

by Karin L. Nauber

According to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office in an update released on September 17, Elaina Cooper of Eagle Bend “still has not been located and we are still asking for the public’s assistance in making contact with her.”

Elaina was reported missing on August 29.

At approximately 11:44 p.m. on that date, the Todd County Sheriff’s Office took a report from family members that Elaina had run away from her residence in rural Eagle Bend.

Elaina is a 16-year-old Caucasian female approximately 5’ 5’’, 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a zip-up hoodie, and large cowboy boots.

Her whereabouts continue to be unknown, but she is believed to be still in the Todd County area.

Early in the investigation, a physical ground search of several sections of Burleene Township was conducted by deputies and members of the Eagle Bend, Clarissa, and Browerville fire departments.

Since then Elaina has been in contact with friends and had reported to friends that she left her residence voluntarily and that she is not in danger.

The Sheriff’s Office has followed up on several leads in this case and will continue to pursue any viable leads until she has been located.

If you have information on her whereabouts you can call 320-732-2158 anytime. You can remain anonymous.

Elaina’s mother, Erica, posted on Facebook on September 13 in the Tri-County Swap and Sell page,

“Please help us find our daughter, Elaina. She is 16. Was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on August 29th. If you see her please call 320-732-2157 or 320-304-2448.
