The halls are quiet and buses are hauling food not students due to COVID-19

Friday, March 17, a day typically filled with green and shamrocks was the last day of school for Minnesota students. Schools were ordered to shut down by Governor Tim Walz due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Teacher Cathy Riewer  from the Bertha-Hewitt school district shared she had never been this emotionally exhausted in her 30 plus years of teaching. It was a hard day for teachers and students alike. Above, the Browerville School District is having the bus company haul free breakfast and lunch to students. Other districts are doing the same. See more photos inside our print edition.
