Father Meemken blew out the candles on his birthday cake as the Parish helped him celebrate on Sunday. His actual birth date is March 22 and he plans to celebrate until Easter.

The alumni team headed by Brian Hinzmann won the annual Clarissa Alumni tournament held on March 14 and 15. The final score against them one headed by Mark Burns was 49-63. Pictured are Nick Holmquist, Adam Blombeck, John Hommerding, Brian “Slick” Hinzmann, Richard Thorson, Justin Voge, Dan Dickinson and Eric Rolfes.

After many months of negotiation with potential buyers for the stock of the Eagle Valley Telephone Company, the board of directors called a special stockholders meeting on Saturday, March 11, at which time the stockholders voted to sell their shares in the company to Communication Systems Inc. of Hector.
