Barry Wolf, Clarissa, may not be out on the range galloping his trusty steed in search of little dogies, but he has recently qualified for the nationals in America’s Ultimate Cowboy contest. Barry, with the support of his wife Kim and other family members, did enter the tryouts. This was the first time he had entered a modeling contest. Wolf qualified for the finals and won on June 30. This netted him a one-night all-expense-paid stay at the Burnsville Fanta Suites Hotel, a pair of custom made cowboy boots from Zap Western, and best of all, a four-day all-expense-paid trip to the national contest in Portland, Oregon in March.

The kids at the Rainbow Kids Club enjoyed a day of miniature golf and swimming at Parkers Prairie. They’ve been busy this summer with many trips including roller skating in Long Prairie, swimming at Lake Charlotte, traveling to Paul Bunyan amusement park in Brainerd and Discovery Zone in St. Cloud. Another fun event was an afternoon of creative drama put on by the Minnesota Extension Service during which the kids wrote and put on a play entitled “A Trip to Beautyland.”
