Leasman paints a memory of Todd County

When Nancy Leasman of rural Long Prairie gets an idea, she goes for it full bore. Painting and researching all of the Todd County Town Halls was another of her ideas that she tackled.

But why?

Good question. For Leasman it was mostly about the art.

“I am charmed by Hobbit Houses and buildings with thatched roofs. I wanted to find buildings around here that had some of those ‘quaint’ features. Town halls have that quaintness I was looking for,” she said.

Along with finding all of the townships in the county, sometimes finding the township's town hall was a challenge.

For example, Eagle Valley shares the Clarissa City Hall in the town of Clarissa. This is the case with a few others, as well...
